Hi! It looks like you are new here. If you like what you see, subscribe to my RSS feed or send me a message!
Since the dawn of skating, the quest was always to re-create the hippy pastime of surfing and bring it to the streets. Hence terms like “sidewalk surfer”, “carve” and “lay out” being used in skateboarding too.
2 inventors have created the SoulArc Skateboard which places a larger wooden deck on top of a large leaf spring. This design gives the rider the ability to pump the tail into corners allowing more “carve” to the ride.
Don’t expect to find this one being used on the mini-ramp at your local half pipe though. Strictly for hippies only (who are too stoned to ride!)

Too stoned to ride!?
Because there is only - ONLY! - one viable way to ‘ride’ a skateboard (ie: a trick-oriented deck - the ONLY true skateboard) and that specifically requires that the rider perform flips. (Period.)
