Tony Hawk Not Worried By Project Natal

2009 June 5

After the recent E3 video demo of the new Microsoft Natal controller for the Xbox360, Tony Hawk was asked if his new Tony Hawk Ride game and board are now obsolete.

Tony responded with a quip and a “No” stating that being able to perform grabs, and flips when you are standing on nothing is pretty impossible.  It is also known that the makers of Tony Hawk Ride had also seen the details of the Natal controller well before E3 had even started – so they know what they are up against.

In my eyes, the Hawk Ride Board is a nice idea – but will cause many arguements as it flips and spins off around your living room or into your little sisters face.  I guess it will not be long before a bungie cord it released and tethered to your foot to make sure that your next 360 flip does not cost you the value of a new window!

Project Natal has all of the ideas and means of blasting the Ride Board out of the water.
