Hi! It looks like you are new here. If you like what you see, subscribe to my RSS feed or send me a message!
As you may already know, Tony Hawks Proving Ground hit the (US) stores yesterday for Xbox 360 and PS3.
I have been keen to get hold of some real footage from the game to see how well it compares to EA’s Skate. I came across this footage uploaded to YouTube recently that shows some actual gameplay footage.
Some of the things I noticed are:
- The game seems to be a very arcade version of skateboarding
- The bails are very unrealistic
- The skateboarding is too fast. I always found that I was going too fast on the Hawk series to pull off anything meaningful.
- The camera angle is too high
Thoughts anyone?
According to the THPG fact sheet produced by Neversoft, the footage created in the video editor function can be uploaded and shared online:
Command the footage using a full-suite of video editing tools, lens modes, camera angles and effects to cut clips and combine clips, add a personal soundtrack and even showcase online to share with others or simply move up the leaderboard rankings.
Lets hope they do a better effort at this than the problem ridden EA Skate Reel.
