@TransworldSkateboarding and everyone in general really:

Actually the physics on skate 3 are fantastic if you set to hardcore, no more massive ollies out of boardslides and generally just much more direct control over the board. The new tricks like underflips fit naturally with the control scheme and can almost never be performed by accident, even the darkslides are handled with surprising deft.

Apart from that though, I agree, it's getting really Tony Hawk. I mean 'Hall of Meat'? Fuck off with that waste of space, time would have been better spent making bails more realistic and adding some really basic stuff like the skater actually standing up again instead of magically re-materialising on the board.

But still, play it on hardcore, play it how you want, it's still the best skate franchise out there.

In fact, what you said about skate 2 = so true.

Now the clone is comming out "SKATE 3" & the kids will love it. No improvement on the physic engine, absoloutly no improvment on frame rate, so PS3 owner will have spike lag while EA will told them "no such thing is true, there is no frame rate problem with our game". Boring race, boring story line, stupid map like the querry, I mean WTF they were thinking, do you people go skate in pitt?! Retarded impossible huge jump, stupid competition where every stupid ass AI crash on you, WTF! have they ever watch a skate competition, do they know how it work? Apparently not. Stupid AI that will fuck up your line in freeride because WE CANT be alone. I could go on & on, they had a great thing with skate OG and they fucked it up to make it like Tony hawk franchise.

This game is REALLY good. The physics are realistic and convincing. The added tricks are brilliant and none of them are nessesary to gameplay. The option to be a girl skater opens up different styles and looks. The walking is shocking but it does the job. Moving around objects is innovative and helpful and means you can make yor own spots or challenge others. The game is not EASIER its actually pretty hard for newbies its just ppl who played the first game will find it easy. Oh, and if its not broke don't fix it. Just be happy with it. Everyone has different opinions.....

the new tricks are cool, and it's good that you can get off your board but skate1 was better in many ways...

what i hate in skate 2 is that it's almost impossible to jump on some thin ledges because the corners suck you into grind... One of the things i liked in skate1 was that you really have to hit the rail accurately to grind.....

what i also dislike is (I'm not sure if i'm right) but it feels like you can now ollie higher, and there's less gravity... why to have moon gravity since with more speed you could ollie further anyway?

Getting into blunts/nose/tailslides is also bit ackward in skate2 because when you gently flick to rotate, you'll get rotated 180. blah, i don't know, maybe it's just something to get used with, but somehow i liked the old more steady rotate better.

and wtf; half of the city is just a DOWNHILL with nothing on it. I really miss all the good spots from skate1.

Create-a-spot sucks, it's only for creating a stupid trick-combo-challenge. I think it should've been just a regular "bookmark a spot" so that you can teleport to a spot you've created or you simply want to find fast next time... And it would be nice to be able to use replay editor when you get there for chist sake...

And instead of just some random rails hanging in random corners it would have been nice to get a menu where you can select some stuff and it gets drop in front of you from the sky...

All the online challenges are bullshit... the s.k.a.t.e mode should have more options like amount of letters, differing bs from fs. it would be great that when you skate with your friends online, you could check out what tricks they are doing, so a simple spectator mode in online play would mean alot.

EA also marketed skate2 telling it has a "better replay editor"... But the truth was i had to pay like 10$ more to get it... ruthless...

Well.. I guess i'll just have to live with all this, because skate2 is still a good game. I just wish skate3 won't be again closer to tony hawk series, becacuse when skate3 comes out, I won't be buying it if so.

TAO...you do realise its more realistic to do handplants than to get 5 feet of air off every ramp. you say skate was going back to basics and if basics are the older moves that were the first to be invented then handplants and no complys and such are more basic than laser flips and shit like that!!!All your comments are bullshit btw :)
